This is still a GREAT deal for hotel style lodging at YMCA, all meals, roller skating, putt-putt golf, Community of Christ guest ministers from India, a Bollywood Dance Troupe, Celebration dinner, REAL take home souvenirs from India and MORE!

Our guest ministers from India are Asmon & Rashmi, they are coming to talk to us about the Community of Christ in India, their work with Outreach International, the school they started and their ministry to persecuted Christians.

 

Our local staff will facilitate Inidan games and art. We will also have a

Bollywood Celebration Saturday night complete with an Indian banquet, dancers and a dance class!

 

There will also be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the wonderful facilities of the YMCA- everything from roller skating to putt putt golf.

 

JUNIOR HIGH & SENIOR HIGH

March 12-13 Brighton TEEN LIFE

 Junior High and Senior High Program continues with their next mini retreat in a mountain home in Bailey, CO focused on the theme of RELATIONSHIPS. Cost is just $20. Contact: Amy Smith, amysmith.priest@gmail.com (MC youth registrations must be filled out for youth attending outside of the Brighton congregation.) Many thanks to the Brighton Congregation for opening up this great year long program to all the junior high and senior high youth in the mission center!

 

 

 

Women’s Group:  The Women’s group will meet again on Wednesday, March 10th  at 7:00pm. ALL are welcome.

 

 

WORLD CONFERENCE DELEGATES: The Mission center may have a need for alternate delegates to attend the conference in April. If you are interested in attending, please contact the Mission Center.

 

 

 

Dialogue Sessions on World Conference Legislation and the Words of Counsel will be available at various locations around the RMMC.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:

 

S.I.T.E. (Seminars in Theological Education): We are actively seeking new students for our Seminars in Theological Education (SITE) program.  To check out the program and get an application, go to the mission center website.  We would love to have you join us!  The next course offering is Hebrew Scriptures, taught by Wayne Ham, to be held on January 15 – 17, 2010.  On April 30 – May 2 the course offering will be The Sacraments, taught by Jane Gardner. March 7 Young Adults Bowling for Outreach: All $ raised will go to help the effort to stabilize and rebuild the schools and lives of children and families serve by OI in Haiti. CHARITABLE QUILTERS:  The charitable quilt group will meet Tuesday March 16th, from 6-9pm. This group comes together once a month to learn the art of machine quilting while making quilts for various organizations. All abilities are welcome. Greenwood Community of Christ Retreat:

Location: Peaceful Valley Ranch,

475 Peaceful Valley Road, Lyons, Colorado.

 

Registration Form due to Laura Thorp, by February 28th at the latest.  You may make payment at the retreat or send it with your registration form.  Checks should be made payable to “Greenwood Community of Christ”.

 

Package includes two night’s lodging, all meals from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast, meeting room, use of facilities (swimming pool, hot tub, game room, some snow events, etc).

 

Greenwood will be paying substantially more than your registration costs with the balance coming from free-will offering at the retreat and the congregational operating budget. The registration fee is $30 per adult age nineteen and above and $10 for kids over five.
