*Please note this date change, as it is different from the 2025 RMMC Calendar of Events provided in our fall brochure. 

SAVE THE DATE for the 2025 Rocky Mountain Mission Center Conference. We will gather the weekend of October 17-19 at the YMCA of the Rockies in beautiful Estes Park. We are working to reserve a NEW LODGE at the YMCA which will offer elevators for those who need them, a primary meeting space within the new lodge, and more comfortable guest rooms. We are excited to offer these improved accommodations and feel they will help meet the needs of our evolving group.

We will have the annual RMMC Business Session in person again this year while gathered for this weekend event, and will share information about registration for this event as soon as it is available!

REMINDER: To be in compliance with current policy at the YMCA, registration / event check-in will begin at 7pm on Friday. We realize this is later than in previous years and will do our best to make the process as easy as we possibly can. Dinner on Friday night will be on your own, as it has been in previous years.  A detailed schedule of the weekend will be shared at a later date.

SPECTACULAR: July 12, 2024

***Calling all Sr. High Campers*** 

Join the Rockies delegation for what is sure to be the highlight of your summer at SPECTACULAR, scheduled for July 12-21, 2024!  We will caravan from the Denver area to Graceland University in Lamoni, IA for a memorable week of sports competitions, music and art classes, movies, performances and much more! Youth who have just completed grades 9-12 are eligible to attend this unique camping experience.  Put it on your calendar and invite a friend to join you!

Big Spruce Jr. & Sr. High Camp: June 9, 2024

June 9-15, 2024: Campers who have completed grades 6-12, you are invited! Join us for a week enjoying theme classes, hikes, ping pong tournaments, basketball, crafts, campfires, and even a day trip to the hot springs!  Camp will begin at 6:00 PM on Sunday night and go through noon on Saturday. Please contact Rebecca Russell (brussellcofchrist@gmail.com) at the Mission Center office to register your child for this event.

Big Spruce Junior Camp: June 6, 2024

June 6-9, 2024: Youth who have completed grades 3-5, this camp is for you! Come hang out on the Grand Mesa doing things like hiking, basketball, sand volleyball, crafts and enjoying campfires. Camp will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday night and run through noon on Monday. Please contact Rebecca Russell (brussellcofchrist@gmail.com) at the Mission Center office to register your child for this event.

Big Spruce Campground Work Weekend: September 19-21, 2025

All who are able and willing, we invite you for a weekend of labor and fellowship as we work together to close the Big Spruce Camp for the season! We will gather at the Big Spruce Campground in Cedaredge, CO the weekend of September 19-21, 2025. and work together to winterize the campgrounds. World Conference: May 2025

World Conference, May 30 – June 6, 2025: 

All are welcome to join for International World Conference held in Independence, MO at Church Headquarters. Registration for this event has officially opened; please note that there will be an option for Early Bird Registration available until April 1.  You do not need to be a delegate in order to attend, so join in this memorable event!

2nd Quarter Community Call: April 2025

2nd Quarter Community Call, April 16, 2025 – All are invited to participate in our 2nd Quarter Community Call, which is scheduled for Wednesday,  April 16th from 7:00-8:00 PM. Specifics on how to access this remote call will be provided to you closer to the date of the call through email communication

 

Community Gathering: March 2025

Community Gatherings Begin!
March 15-16

As we continue to focus on our goal of Unity and Support, we are planning five Community Gatherings throughout the Mission Center. The first will be held at the Applewood Community of Christ. Tim Hakes, pastor, and his congregation are excited to host this event.

The first session will be Saturday, March 15 from 9:00 – 2:00.
We will have time to get to know each other, share in class time, focusing on Living the Mission Prayer and be together in service for the Applewood community.

On Sunday, March 16, we will meet from 9:00 – 1:00. We will continue with the class, share ways that we can support each other, (individually, in congregations and in the Mission Center). Then we will join in an 11:00 worship service and then have a meal together.

Our focus group for this gathering include Thornton, Denver, Greenwood and Applewood congregations, but ALL members and friends in the Mission Center are welcome. If you happen to be in the metro area this weekend, stop by for fellowship.
