Dear Friends,
I’ve had the joyful experience of visiting many of you over the past few months. Every time I go into a congregation I’m reminded of the diversity of our mission center, the giftedness of our people, the compassion of our members and the love for Christ that lives in each one’s heart.
There are many times I visit a congregation and a brother or sister has some thoughts for me, some questions or some concerns. I take all of these seriously and I’ve realized that it would be helpful to have a time for sharing these things during the year so that we won’t have to wait for a Sunday visit to come along.
So I’ve decided to add once quarterly video conferences to the calendar for 2017. These will be a time for you to meet “face to face” – over video conferencing – with me and for us to discuss matters that are important to you.
Of course, I am always available to you during the week. You don’t have to wait for a prescribed time for us to connect. Feel free to e-mail me at: snewcom@cofchrist.org or call me at: 303-359-4295. I want to be available to you.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Shandra Newcom
President

Developing Disciples to Serve is an important ministry of the Mission Center. Grocery cards are available for sale to support this initiative. When you use these cards at King Soopers, City Market or Safeway, you help earn FREE MONEY for ministry. The Mission Center is selling grocery cards for $10 (they are preloaded with that amount). Every time you buy groceries, you can add funds to the card for your purchase. The stores then donate 5 percent of your purchase back to the Mission Center. It is fast, free to you, easy, and a very effective way to raise money for our ministries in the Rocky Mountain region! ***MID-SEPTEMBER UPDATE*** In the first six months we have raised over $4375 and we expect to continue earning more the coming months! If you would like to purchase a grocery card, please contact Phyllis Modica at 303-426-5900 x-1. |
