Dear Friends,

One of my favorite poets said this:  “Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.” (Rabindranath Tagore)  This  has been a difficult time for many people in my life.  Loved ones have passed, children are sick, friends have moved away and become distant, our own concerns seem unmanageable.

And still, there, right there in our heart, is the Divine Mystery that lives each moment with us; that weeps with us and laughs with us and holds us in loving care all the moments of our lives.  Even in the dark we know that the light seeps through.

I hope you are finding yourself surrounded with love and gentle concern.  If you have a prayer need, please feel free to send it to me.  I will keep you in prayer and if you are interested and willing, will share your concern with our Facebook prayer group (always with your permission).

May the loving Spirit that weaves through our souls and our lives bring you comfort.  And may you know you are not alone.

With deep love,

Shandra Newcom
President
Rocky Mountain Mission Center

Developing Disciples to Serve is an important ministry of the Mission Center. Grocery cards are available for sale to support this initiative. When you use these cards at King Soopers, City Market or Safeway, you help earn FREE MONEY for ministry. The Mission Center is selling grocery cards for $10 (they are preloaded with that amount). Every time you buy groceries, you can add funds to the card for your purchase. The stores then donate 5 percent of your purchase back to the Mission Center. It is fast, free to you, easy, and a very effective way to raise money for our ministries in the Rocky Mountain region!  ***UPDATE*** In the first six months we have raised over $3850 and we expect to continue earning more the coming months! If you would like to purchase a grocery card, please contact Phyllis Modica at 303-426-5900 x-1.
