Dear Friends,

Mission Center Conference is upon us!  One week from tonight we will be coming together from all over the Mission Center, joined in community at the YMCA of the Rockies.

I have some hopes for our time together:

I hope that we connect.  I hope that we share a conversation or a meal or at least a hug.  I hope that we encounter the living Christ in one another’s stories and sharing.  I hope that we can be honest and open with  one another.  That we can grow in community and that we can remember that we are transformed when we live and love and share as Zion.

So, friends, I hope to see you there.  And if you can’t join us, please be in prayer for the Conference.

With hope!

ROCKY MOUNTAIN MISSION CENTER ANNOUNCEMENTS:

We need your help! The Mission Center is in need of some volunteer assistance for the below items. If you are available to help in any of these areas, please contact Shandra Newcom at snewcom@cofchrist.org or 303-426-5900 x2.

1) We are looking for one more face painter at Conference on Saturday evening, Nov 5th.

2) We need someone to pick-up a guest minister from the airport on Friday, November 4th and give them a ride to RMMC Conference.

Please Note!!!
Some routes to RMMC Conference have been impacted by road closures! Travelers coming from Northern Colorado and Wyoming (or coming through the Loveland and Fort Collins areas) are advised to take alternate routes due to major construction on Hwy 34. The added travel time for the recommended detour route via U.S. 36 through Lyons to Estes Park is minimal: 11 additional minutes from central Loveland / 14 additional minutes from I-25 east of Loveland. Additional info can be found on CDOT’s website www.us34canyon.codot.gov.

Developing Disciples to Serve is an important ministry of the Mission Center. Grocery cards are available for sale to support this initiative. When you use these cards at King Soopers, City Market or Safeway, you help earn FREE MONEY for ministry. The Mission Center is selling grocery cards for $10 (they are preloaded with that amount). Every time you buy groceries, you can add funds to the card for your purchase. The stores then donate 5 percent of your purchase back to the Mission Center. It is fast, free to you, easy, and a very effective way to raise money for our ministries in the Rocky Mountain region!  ***MID-SEPTEMBER UPDATE*** In the first six months we have raised over $4600 and we expect to continue earning more the coming months! If you would like to purchase a grocery card, please contact Phyllis Modica at 303-426-5900 x-1.
