End of Summer Cookout: August 23, 2025

We are excited to close out the summer season again this year with our 2nd Annual End of Summer Cookout hosted by the RMMC. We will gather on Saturday, August 23rd at the Mission Center (outdoors) to share in food, fun and fellowship. More details will be shared when they are available – hope to see you and your family there!

Community Gathering @ Big Spruce Campground: August 2025

This year the RMMC will be sponsoring “Community Gathering” opportunities at various locations. We will meet this August at the Big Spruce Campground in Cedaredge, CO for a Community Gathering over the summer and we want you to join us! Stay tuned for details and a schedule for this event.

Family Camp: July 2025

We are excited to offer Family Camp this summer in a new location, in Bailey, CO.  Details are still being finalized, so keep an eye on our weekly newsletter and website for more details as they become available.  We look forward to gathering with families from the Rocky Mountain Mission Center this summer!

3rd Quarter Community Call, July 23 2025 – All are invited to participate in our 2nd Quarter Community Call, which is scheduled for Wednesday,  July 23rd from 7:00-8:00 PM. Specifics on how to access this remote call will be provided to you closer to the date of the call through email communication.

SPECTACULAR: July 11-20, 2025

Sr. High youth who have completed grades 9-12, this one’s for you! Join the Rockies Delegation travelling from the Denver, CO area to Graceland University in Lamoni, IA for an unforgettable week experiencing a unique blend of arts, leadership, sports and worship. The mission of SPECTACULAR is to create a safe, Christ-centered community that encourages young people to discover God, their inherent worth, and cultivate and express their giftedness.

During SPECTACULAR approximately 1,100 campers and their leaders gather at Graceland University for the largest annual gathering of youth in Community of Christ. Campers can look forward to sharing in all avenues of the SPEC  experience – service projects, communication   workshops, basketball, musical  instruction, table tennis, stage production, worship, delegation devotions, volleyball, tie-dying, cotton candy, discussions about dating and relationships, learning more   about our Creator, soccer, and much, much more.

Big Spruce Reunion: June 28- July 5, 2025

Come spend a week at the Big Spruce Campground located on the Grand Mesa in Cedaredge, CO.  We will explore our relationships with God and one another through activities, classes, campfires and recreation. Check-in will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, 6/28 and we will conclude reunion at noon on Saturday,  7/5.

Whispering Pines Campground in Prescott, AZ: June 15-21, 2025

Calling all Jr. High & Sr. High Youth who have completed grades 6-12! This year we will be travelling to the Whispering Pines Campground located in Prescott, AZ and joining another mission center for summer camp. This Community of Christ campground boasts a short access to lake canoeing, fishing and kayaking, archery, basketball & volleyball courts, firepits, baseball fields and more! You do not want to miss this exciting opportunity to make memories, explore another state while making new friends while gathering in both worship and fun.

Our campers and staff will be flying from Denver to Phoenix, where we will then drive to the Whispering Pines Campground located approximately two hours from the airport. We will depart the morning of Sunday, June 15th and will return to Denver the evening of Saturday, June 21st. The exact flight itinerary as well as a full camper packing list will be shared directly with parents after camper registrations are received.

Youth camps for the 2025 camping season will continue to be offering based – in other words, we ask that families / congregations make a meaningful offering in any amount for camp participation.  Any shortfall in camp expenses will be covered by the Mission Center. The estimated price per camper for this event is $500.

Junior Camp: June 11-14, 2025

Youth who have completed grades 3-5, this camp is for you!  The RMMC is excited to offer a new summer camp experience for our junior aged youth at a cabin nestled in the mountains in Bailey, CO.  A detailed schedule is being finalized, but it will be full of exciting programming for our youth including swimming, exploring, a trip to the Treehouse Adventure Park, visiting the local Coney Island Hotdog Stand, and more!

We invite youth to be dropped off at the cabin in Bailey at 2PM on Wednesday,  June 11th and the event will come to a close at 10AM on Saturday,  June 14th.  The address of the cabin as well as a full youth packing list will be shared with directly with parents after we have received registration for their child. The Mission Center can assist with transportation for families if necessary. Please email us (information@cofchristrm.org) to make arrangements for your child to have a ride to the cabin in Bailey from the RMMC office in Thornton.

We will be able to host a maximum of 15 juniors and registration for this event will close on April 15, 2025, so register today!
