Counsel to the Church

President Steve Veazey shared testimony during a videotaped conversation about the counsel to the church shared on January 17. With authenticity and vulnerability, he talked unscripted about the joys and burdens of the revelatory process.

People who have watched it in congregations and mission center gatherings-regardless of their position on specific matters addressed in the counsel-have shared that it was a powerful experience. It affirmed for them that God is with us as we journey into the future. Pastors will be receiving a DVD of the conversation. You can also read or watch it online at www.CofChrist.org/wc2010/counsel.

Contemplative Outreach of Fort Collins
Colorado is very fortunate that St. Benedict's Monastery in Snowmass, CO, is still the home of Father Thomas Keating, known worldwide for his work in spiritual formation. An author of many books, including Open Mind, Open Heart, and after being seriously ill at the age of 87, Thomas Keating will speak at the 17th Annual Conference of Contemplative Outreach, Saturday, March 20th! It is being held at the Arvada Center near Interstate 70 and 76. Information and registration forms are available in the foyer or by contacting Sharon Troyer.

March 26-27, Friday 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Saturday 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Plymouth Congregational Church, 916 W. Prospect. Susan Komis is speaking Friday evening on "Discovering the Stages of our Faith Development." No Charge for this event. Please register by Monday, March 22, by mail to Contemplative Outreach of Fort Collins, PO Box 272311, Fort Collins CO 80527-2311

A Visioning event is a special time set aside by the Contemplative Outreach community to gather, sort, synthesize, and prioritize information for future growth of the community. It is a moment to celebrate and reflect on where we have been and how we
have grown as a Chapter.

This could help us with our visioning for the congregation and preparation for a congregational blessing.
