About Us

The Fort Collins congregation of the Community of Christ is a church helping to build a community of joy, hope, love and peace in the Fort Collins area. In November 2009 we officially became a Welcoming Community Network (WCN) congregation and adopted the Statement of Welcome seen on our Home page. We have been partners in helping the community with programs such as the Winter Day Shelter (for the homeless), Nightwalker, The Food Distribution Center, Senior Nutrition Program, PeaceMobile, Young Peoples Learning Center, and the Child Advocacy of Northern Colorado. We offer ministry to the community and church members in the form of blessings for children and adults, baptising, offering open communion, administering to the sick, performing marriage and funeral ceremonies, and regular worship and Christian education services. We would love to hear from you!

We are part of the Rocky Mountain Mission Center, a group of 30 congregations in the Rocky Mountain west, that facilitates youth activities, family camps, etc. Our world headquarters are in Independence, Missouri and you can find information on our history and beliefs at that website: www.cofchrist.org . Please feel free to e-mail us if you have additional questions.

Community Services

We meet at various times during the week for groups and special occasions - please check our calendar for a full list of dates and times.
The Fort Collins congregation actively serves the senior adult community by participating in the Senior Nutrition Program by serving lunches at the church on Wednesday and Friday. We support and are members of the Fort Collins Interfaith Council and Church Women United as well. Our Activity Center (gym) is used as a Winter Shelter for the Homeless (winters 2008-2010) in conjunction with United Way of Larimer County and Catholic Charities Northern. This may be a temporary shelter due to the building of the Sister Mary Alice Murphy Center for Hope and a year round day shelter that is in the early planning stages.

Our building facilities are available for rent by community groups or individuals. For more information or to rent or reserve
contact Jon Ytell at 970-4934959 or the Church Office at 970-482-9206.You may also check the
